Job Description

Business Unit: Containment Rentals


Under general direction from the Department Manager and/or Director, performs duties and policy interpretation related to the management within a department/division of Select Energy Services or of related operational units or program areas. Key responsibilities include analyzing specialized tasks and developing a plan of action to accomplish assignments.  Ensures policies and procedures related to department activities are followed at all times to accomplish both department and company goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Develops and directs the procedures and work standards for assigned tasks/projects

  • Interprets and ensures procedures are in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations

  • Follows policies and procedures, ensures that goals and objectives are met, and that services are being provided efficiently and effectively

  • Develops and monitors the department’s specific tasks and reports findings directly to the Department Manager and/or Director

  • Plans, organizes, administers, reviews and evaluates own quality of work, provided office support, and operational effectiveness

  • Confers with and represents the department in meetings with others involved departments and upper management related to the specialized (assigned) tasks; expected to foster collaborative relationships to the benefit of the department and of the task completion

  • Prioritizes and allocates available department resources; reviews and evaluates services, makes recommendations for improvement and ensures maximum effective service provision

  • Develops systems and maintains records that provide for the proper evaluation, control and documentation of assigned activities; prepares the preparation of a variety of written correspondence, reports, procedures, directives and other materials

  • May act for and serve as the Department Manager, as assigned or necessary



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred

  • At least 2 years of oilfield services experience

  • Ability to analyze current needs and provide creative solutions

  • Initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Some field experience is required

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word

  • Professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentially of classified information

  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management skills

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select’s insurance guidelines



    Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment.

  • Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment.

  • Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy area.


Work Environment

The company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.

  • Traditional Monday through Friday, 8 – 5pm, unless operations dictate otherwise.

  • Majority of daily duties will be conducted in a climate controlled environment.
