Business Unit: Corporate

Summary 
 

Under direction of the Training Manager, the Media Specialist is responsible for assisting in developing and directing the company’s training media activities that are in alignment with the company’s vision and training goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include the following: (other duties may be assigned)
 
• Participates in the acquisition and creation of training media.
• Work closely with the training leadership team to develop training media and plans for each business unit.
• Assist training team with media collateral that enables them to meet their training objectives.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of training media that coordinates all company materials such as photo, video, eLearning authoring, Learning and Safety Management Systems, etc.
• Assist with social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
• Assist with research, interviews, course writing and development, test writing, and study guides.
• Assist with eLearning development and course design.
• Coordinate site visits, schedules video shoots, conduct interviews, and enter course data.
• Assist with photo processing, video editing, electronic file management and distribution.
 
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
 
• 2 years media production preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Must have the ability to work well with people and be a team player.
• Must be a self-starter and detail oriented.
• Must possess good reasoning, analytical, and creative skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Experience in personnel training.
• Must be willing to travel.
 

Physical Demands 

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
• Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment.
• Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
 

Work Environment 

This position works inside a climate-controlled environment in the corporate office and outside on field locations.  The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
• Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm.
