General Summary

The National Account Manager is responsible for the maintenance and growth of strategic accounts in the pipeline  and/or mining industry for both new construction and maintenance projects across the US. This role collaborates with other all company business units to offer the full range of the company’s services to the pipeline and/or mining industry. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations.
  • Continually develops, tracks and reports back on upcoming project opportunities and bids to leadership through verbal communication and the use of the company CRM.
  • Develops strategic account plans for specific customers or customer networks and drives implementation through cross-departmental collaboration, establishing critical customer relationships at the corporate and field level
  • Develop specific pricing responses to varying work (new construction, maintenance, etc..) and different seasonal impacts to company revenue streams

Maximizes profitability and sells value by executing the following:

  • Demonstrating clear understanding of opportunity costs and service offerings
  • Researches and develops new customers and new customer opportunities
  • Promotes the full range of service lines and capabilities, selling the enterprise value of the organization
  • Brings in specific support and expertise, as needed, to close every opportunity at the right price
  • Responsible for the transition plan related to new business acquired by displacing competitor.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5 years of experience preferred
  • Sales and/or Operational experience in the pipeline integrity business or mining industry preferred
  • A keen understanding of  industry practices and selling strategies
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the client’s organization, from field personnel up to and including senior level management of customer or potential customer organizations
  • Self-motivated individual, must have the ability to work with minimal supervision
