Job Description

Business Unit: Operational Technology 

NOTE: Will require regular travel to Greeley, CO.

PLC Programmer Job Duties:

  • Works to design, build, test, and implement automation solutions for Select Energy Services.
  • Works with Technology team to troubleshoot and maintain existing automated assets.
  • Maintains and contributes to established PLC solutions for Select Energy Services.
  • Provides all aspects of support and work with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks with team or independently.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Confirms and QC’s technical and analytical work tasks by conducting tests; modifying as needed.
  • Maintains workflow and programming documentation for all work by writing and updating procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of documented PLC programming/Automated systems. Candidate will have expert understanding of automation processes and hardware/software. 

B.S in CS/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline desired. 

Must have demonstrable expertise in the following areas: 

PLC Programming experience (Allen Bradley preferred), Problem solving/troubleshooting, Fluent in Ladder Logic and familiar with other PLC programming languages., Oil and Gas Field Experience 

Desired Skills: 

HMI Design, Ignition SCADA system, wiring diagnostics, advanced electronics, AutoCAD, SCADA systems, ladder logic, C++, SQL Databases. 

Salary – Select Energy is currently a expanding its technology division and is offering very competitive salary and compensation packages 

Travel – 35% of the time
