Job Description

Business Unit:  Corporate


The primary duties of a Parts Coordinator are to facilitate the area parts inventory for service shops and performing related TMW system tasks.  Will work closely with the area Fleet Manager and Shop Managers to ensure adequate parts inventory to promote efficient operation of all repair facilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Manage parts inventory using TMW.

  • Work with vendors to setup scheduled parts deliveries.

  • Code all vendor invoices for parts purchases.

  • Perform TMW day end process.

  • Work with maintenance staff and local vendors to determine fleet parts needs.

  • Assist area Fleet Manager on annual budget requirements.

  • Monitor parts expenditures and recommend corrective actions to area Fleet Manager.

  • Setup parts department to expedite parts delivery to mechanics which will reduce repair time.

  • Perform monthly inventory audits.

  • Perform special assignments as necessary. 


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required:

  • High School diploma/ GED

  • At least one year of related experience.

  • Clean driving record

  • Must be computer proficient and fluent in parts management software

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

  • General knowledge of heavy equipment, oilfield equipment and vehicles.

  • Safety oriented

  • Able to interact and perform successfully within a team environment

  • Demonstrate professionalism

  • Demonstrate initiative to learn and develop new skills

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • This position is physically demanding. Incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on regular basis and do repetitive task.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
